The work primarily involved fully custom website design, e-commerce setup and development. These are elements we are highly familiar with, but integrating them into a site for a wellbeing business was a new and exciting challenge.
Learning more about wellbeing – e.g. how breathing affects your health and wellbeing, its affect on sleep and productivity, etc. – as we developed the site helped to influence the direction we took it in. A calming colour palette with bright hues and charming minimalist designs became the perfect companion to the encouraging wellbeing advice that fills the pages.
As a hub for the Breathren brand, the website needed to effectively embody its ethos and values. If the website design successfully puts the customer at ease, we have accomplished this. Lead generation will increase as a result of this, as the customer will have a more immediate understanding of the brand – first impressions matter.
By focusing Joel as the primary voice of the website through text and images, the brand is given a more personal feel, contributing to the friendly and approachable atmosphere it needed to convey. The informative yet conversational tone builds trust with the customer, who is more likely to invest in a business that they have built an authentic connection with. This sets it apart from other wellbeing businesses which may have a more impersonal, formal tone.
Our skillset naturally expanded by designing a website in a completely different space than we had explored before. The more websites we design across a wide variety of styles and industries, the greater our proficiency grows. This has a knock-on effect of improving our efficiency with all future projects.
This is proving true, as we did not run into any major issues during the development of this website. Overcoming obstacles in the past has successfully prepared us to avoid making the same mistakes twice.
In the future, we are committed to developing the print and offline marketing with Joel and to focus on the e-commerce aspect long-term.
